It’s 11:30am on a Saturday morning, I realise that despite being awake since 8am I have achieved nothing in my vaguely hungover state other than cooking a greasy fryup. I get a shout from the other half and I'm told I need to be ready to head out at 12pm. The clock is now ticking.
My other half is already out of the shower, I know I’m pressed for time. I reckon there's a 10 minute window to put a few bets on before I need 20 minutes to get showered and dressed. Unsurprisingly, on days like this, I don’t end up putting on the bets that I would have liked.
With only 10 minutes, I just about manage to put on a couple of 5 folds accas with some rushed and dodgy (at best) research. In fact, the second acca only had 3 games in when I started getting pressured to get in the shower. Meh, I just put my finger in the air and drop it down on the mouse clicker with my eyes closed to pick the last 2 bets. Well, I think to myself, that acca is a 10er in the bin. I'll try and have a look at a few value bets on my phone later. I close my chrome tabs feeling frustrated, but knowing it’s probably more important I don't have my friends waiting on me to be ready to leave.

I pretty much know exactly the criteria I’m looking for when I’m checking out different markets, there must be some sort of screener where I can filter on what I want across all matches. I Google hard for a few days and don't find anything that provides me with what I'm after. There are some great websites out there offering predictions, odds analysis, tips and all kinds of stats, but none of them really do what I want. I ask a friend, who's in a similar position to me, he says he uses excel and a csv from some random source. Jesus he's got even more patience than me! If I have time on my hands then I’d find I was wasting hours of it on my PC, digging through stats and comparing odds on a ton of different sites. That’s pretty unreasonable in terms of time expenditure when you consider that I already know what I’m looking for and it’s 2019. That’s when Gamescreener was born… in my head.
What I was after was pretty specific, I want to filter games based on statistics that I care about and I want to filter them fast, without page reloads and without a laggy UI. Once I’ve found a filter I like, I want to save it, come back and use it again.
Over the past few months I’ve been developing Gamescreener in the hope of providing my friends and I with the technology to do just that. It’s saved us a ton of time so far and now I’m hoping it can save you some hours too, as well as unveil some opportunities to bet on leagues you otherwise might not have considered.
So give the site a look! Feedback and suggestions are always welcome so feel free to drop us an email any time letting us know how we can make Gamescreener work better for you.
So far my friends and I are the only users so we've been adding things we think are useful to us. I’d love to hear what you think would be useful. If there's enough demand, and it fits in with what I want to offer, then I'll be happy to add it in.
Cheers
